Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 3: Release Date, Character Visuals, Ending Theme Song Preview

The Ascendance of a Bookworm anime series recently saw the release of a new commercial for season 3. The commercial featured a preview of the ending theme song for the upcoming season, Kotoba ni Dekinai (I Can't Put It Into Words) by Maaya Sakamoto. In addition, the video also announced the release date for the forthcoming season and some visuals for returning characters!

The first season of Ascendance of a Bookworm aired in two parts. The first part premiered in October 2019 and ended in December 2019 with 14 episodes. The second part premiered in Japan in April 2020. Two original video anime (OVA) installments debuted with a limited edition of the first novel of the series' fifth part in March 2020. The second season of the series premiered in October 2020.

J-Novel Club releases both the light novels and Suzuka's manga adaptation in English. Fans can check out the anime adaptation on Crunchyroll, which also features an English dubbed version. Check out a new key visual for Season 3 of Ascendance of a Bookworm below:

Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 3 Release Date, Character Visuals and More!

Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 3 will be released on April 11, 2022. The anime will reportedly premiere on Yomiuri TV. Furthermore, the anime will begin airing on Tokyo MX, WOWOW, and BS Fuji on April 13, while AT-X will air the new season from April 14. Check out the recently released Season 3 preview below:

All main cast members are returning from previous seasons. Kazuhiko Inoue joins the third season's cast as the new character Sylvester. The series also unveiled new visuals for returning characters Myne and Ferdinand and the new character Sylvester. Check them out.

Crunchyroll, which streamed the first two seasons of Ascendance of a Bookworm, describes the anime's story as:

"Avid bookworm and college student Motosu Urano ends up dying in an unforeseen accident. This came right after the news that she would finally be able to work as a librarian like she had always dreamed of. When she regained consciousness, she was reborn as Main, the daughter of a poor soldier. She was in the town of Ehrenfest, which had a harsh class system. But as long as she had books, she didn't really need anything else. However, books were scarce and belonged only to the nobles. But that doesn't stop her, so she makes a decision… "If there aren't any books, I'll just create some."
