Google Home to Expand To New Markets via Multi-Language Support

By Sajwar Sohail / June 11, 2018

It is believed that Google is determined to push sales of its Google Home device to multiple new markets this year. For that matter, the company has incorporated its virtual assistant AI into the smart home speaker in order to compete against Amazon. Digitimes Research reported that Google seeks to take on Amazon in the smart home market – therefore, it will be expanding its global footprints into several new markets. However, Google has an edge over Amazon due to its multi-language support. Google Assistant AI can now understand and process up to 30 languages while Alexa can support only three languages.

As per recent news, the company has some great news for those who speak Spanish. Google Home has received an update that allows users to keep their default languages as “Español.” You can now easily change the default language from Settings menu of Google Home app. Here is how you can do it:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Expand the side menu.
  3. Tap on More Settings.
  4. Scroll and find the Home Speaker under Devices.
  5. You will find an Assistant Language.
  6. Choose Español to make it your default language for the smart home speaker.

What’s better is that Google has introduced three different dialects of Spanish including EE.UU (Estados Unidos), España, and Mexico. You can try out the new feature today!
