Can You Watch Discovery Plus Videos in Ultra HD?

Discovery Plus has been up for a week now, and we keep digging through its features and content so we can share it all with you too. One of the things we wanted to see was whether Discovery Plus had any 4K content so we can stream it on the big screen TV.

Thankfully, the answer to this question is "yes!" Ever since its launch, Discovery Plus has introduced quite a number of nature documentaries in 4K.

In fact, the 4K content can be found in the "Nature & Animals" collection of shows and specials, but you can also find them by running a search on the service. What to search for? Well, look for "4K," "UHD," or "Ultra HD."

The collection is certainly going to be a lot lower than what you'd hoped for, but it is what it is. You'll notice episodes from the Blue Planet II, Dogs: The Untold Story, American Titans, Dynasties, Serengeti, Wild Africa: Enchanted Kingdom, The Hunt, or Predators turn up.

The bad news is that the 4K programming will only be available on Fire TV and Apple TV 4K devices so far. So, you won't get them on Roku or Android TVs. That's quite a bummer, but we do hope we'll get an update to this soon enough. After all, the service is just starting its way up, so it has some more to grow.
