Can You Download Movies and TV Shows on Discovery Plus to Watch Offline?

Most streaming services allow users to download movies and TV shows to their devices, so they can enjoy them later on. Is this possible with Discovery Plus, however? Let’s find out.

Even though we’ve dug quite a bit through the Discovery Plus apps, trying out show after show, we did not find any download button. Right now, this feature is not available for subscribers, neither via browser nor via a mobile app.

That being said, you’ll have to make do by watching content only when you’re connected to a WiFi network or dealing with whatever mobile data consumption will come with streaming on the go. Depending on your plan, you may not have to “suffer” too much when your bill comes through.

Discovery Plus offers a ton of original shows, but also content from a lot of networks that are under its umbrella, including Discovery Channel, HGTV, Food Network, TLC, Animal Planet, BBC Earth, Lifetime, History, and plenty others.

Currently, the service costs $4.99 per month for the ad-supported version and $6.99 for the ad-free service if you’d rather go by that one.
