If there's one thing The CW does great is fantasy adventures, so we're pretty sure that if you're a fan of the genre, you've taken a look at The Outpost. If you're also looking for ways to watch The Outpost live online before the show hits TVs this year, we're here to help you out.

The Outpost premiered back in July 2018 and, after the first season aired, it was renewed for a second season. There's no clear date set for the premiere yet, but we do know it's going to happen in "mid-2019". If we look at last year's premiere date, we can expect this to happen sometime in July, but that's only speculation at this point.

The show focuses on Talon, played by Jessica Green, which is the only survivor of a race called Blackbloods. Talon, of course, seeks to find a way to avenge her family after her entire village is destroyed by mercenaries. In the meantime, she gets to play around with a brand new superpower, which makes things about ten times better.

So, if you want to watch Talon and her journey for the second season live on The CW, you need to get creative about watching the whole thing. Let's learn everything there is to know about it all.

Can You Watch The Outpost for Free on The CW Website?

Unfortunately, The CW's website doesn't feature a live TV stream anywhere. You can, however, enjoy the latest five episodes of whatever series you want, without even needing to log into an account. So, if you want to watch The CW live online, you're going to have to subscribe to a live TV platform such as the ones we're going to detail in a minute.

What Live TV Services Can You Subscribe to Watch The Outpost?

Nowadays, we use the Internet for pretty much anything, including to binge on our favorite shows. So, why not also use it to watch TV online? Live TV platforms have numerous advantages over cable, such as the fact that they're far cheaper and that you can customize the service quite a bit. There's also no contract involved, so you can cancel at any time with no repercussions. Plus, live TV platforms enable subscribers to enjoy their favorite shows no matter where they are when the broadcast starts - as long as they have an Internet connection and a compatible device, you have nothing to worry about. You can even watch on the bus if your data plan permits it. So, let's see what options you have here.

fuboTV - Topping the list, we have fuboTV, which is a great service that features a lot of sports channels. There are two bundles to pick from here - fubo and fubo Extra - and The CW is present in both of them, which makes choosing one far easier. You can customize the service a bit by adding channel packs and several premium networks. Read our fuboTV review for more details on what they have to offer.

Note: This is where we need to point out that fuboTV only features The CW in several select markets, namely Atlanta, GA, Detroit, MI, Philadelphia, PA, Pittsburgh, PA, Sacramento-Stockton-Modesto, CA, San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose, CA, Seattle, WA, Tampa, FL, and Chicago, IL. This means that if you live elsewhere you have to get creative if you want to watch The CW. We'll give you all the details in a little while, so keep on reading.

Hulu - Our next suggestion is Hulu, a great platform that only features one bundle of channels and costs $44.99 per month. You do get access to dozens of channels, including The CW, as well as the full VOD library. If you're adamant about customizing the experience, you can always add any of the two available channel packs, or any of the premium networks they have available. Check out TechNadu's Hulu review for more details.

YouTube TV - Following up next is a product from one of the world's largest Internet companies - Alphabet Inc -, namely YouTube TV. This one is pretty simple because there's only one bundle of channels here, which costs $40 per month. The bundle does feature The CW, so you can watch The Outpost easily. Plus, if you do want to customize the service, you'll have to add premium networks only, since that's what's available. Read all about the really cool perks that this platform offers subscribers in our YouTube TV review.

DirecTV Now - We also have DirecTV Now on our list, a platform that recently underwent several changes to its bundles. There are currently only two bundles left - Plus and Max - and both of them feature The CW. If you want to customize the service, you can add international packs, Spanish-language channel packs, and several premium networks. Make sure to read our DirecTV Now review to find out all the details about what you can do here.

Sling TV - We're also mentioning Sling TV here because it's a pretty great platform. From the start, you should know that the service doesn't feature CBS in its bundles or packs. But, if you really want to sign up for Sling TV, then you should know that the service offers a free TV antenna to those who pay for two months of subscription. So go ahead and read our Sling TV review to see if it's the right one for you or not.

What Do You Do If The CW Isn't Available in Your Area?

We have already discussed the situation when it concerns fuboTV, but the problem about The CW's availability in certain location expands to other platforms too - we just don't have a list of the cities where the channel is available in, that's all. So, what you need to know is that live TV platforms, much like any other site out there, reads your location by looking at your IP address. If your IP address reflects a different location than the one you're in, such as a metropolitan area where you can watch The CW in, then you get access to those channels available there. All you need for this little "magic" is a VPN. Here's what you need to do.

Note: We have to mention that the very same method we described above can be used if you ever travel abroad and find yourself unable to access your live TV platform. These platforms and any other streaming service out there are geoblocked, which means you can only access them from within the United States. By using a VPN, you're going to circumvent the problem entirely.

Can You Watch The Outpost with a TV Antenna?

For many years now, even before live TV platforms were available, cord cutters would turn to TV antennas - they're relatively cheap and you get to watch TV for free. What could be better, right? Well, the downside is that you only get to enjoy a few dozen channels, which is far from what you were used to with cable. Nonetheless, it's free, so you can't really complain too much.

Nowadays, TV antennas look pretty great and they'll fit right in with the rest of your gadgets. They also reach quite far, so you get more channels than you would have a few years back. Nonetheless, before you go and pick a device, you should check a site like TV Fool, where you can input your address and check the channels that are available in your area, complete with how strong the signal is. If it all checks out, then by all means, go ahead and get an antenna.

How Can You Watch Older Episodes of The Outpost?

In case you didn't know, you can watch the latest five episodes from any The CW show straight on their website. If you want to go farther down the list of episodes, you're going to have to get creative. Right now, The Outpost episodes are not available on The CW's site, but that will change when the new season starts. Even though The CW shows usually land on Netflix, this one is still missing.

There is, however, the option to purchase episodes and full seasons of The Outpost via several platforms. The price is pretty much the same, but you'll have to check them all out on your own when you decide to make the purchase, in case they have any deals. So, check out Amazon, Google Play, YouTube, Vudu, iTunes, or Microsoft Store.

So, we hope you've found the right way for you to watch The Outpost live online when it returns for its second season.
