Denny is Peggy’s ex, an undeniably charming parolee and a relentless operator. Guru Bob is a local ex-anchorman who rebrands himself as a mystic desert personality after a trauma. Along the way, we also meet Carol, Peggy’s closest friend, the bored fiancé of an ER doctor, and a permissive new stepmother who has a secret of her own.Â
From the trailer, we can see she’s a slacker and has a fun flair - she does not notice a kidnapping while focusing on parking her car, and after succeeding in persuading Bruce to hire her, she carelessly tells him she doesn’t get up until 11 am.
