How Many People Can Watch Peacock at Once?

By Lore Apostol / July 14, 2021

Even though Peacock launched in 2020 in an already crowded market segment, it gained millions of subscribers fast. And considering it's backed by Universal, it's no surprise it did. To compete with the other streaming services, it offers various perks, like several user profiles. But how many people can watch Peacock at once?

Well, we should start with the fact that, as a subscriber, you get to add up to six profiles to your account, in any combination. However, only three people can watch Peacock at once since it offers up to three concurrent streams on one account, as per the platform's FAQ. We have to admit that it's not very inconvenient, as there's a small chance all the profile users would want to watch Peacock simultaneously.

If you are not a subscriber yet, you can get Peacock by creating a free account. After entering a user email and creating a password, you can go with the ad-supported Free tier to test the on-demand and live TV service. It features about 7,500 hours of content from NBCUniversal, so it's decent considering it's free. Also, if you are an Xfinity or Cox customer, you can access the limited-commercials Peacock Premium gratis, which has limited ads and double the content of the Free tier.

If you do not fit the profile above, you can select the Premium plan for $4.99 per month. If you want no ads and full access to the Peacock content, you can always upgrade from Premium to Premium Plus for another $5/month (or $50 per year).

Peacock started as a service available only to Comcast customers then expanded to a vast array of devices, such as iOS, Amazon Fire, Roku, etc. Recently, they announced that Universal movies would land on the platform four months after their respective theatrical release, so it's constantly evolving and striving to have an offering worth taking into consideration.
