Disney Plus Free Trial 2024: Can You Still Sign Up?

By Lore Apostol / February 14, 2022

Looking for a Disney Plus free trial? It's a great idea to try and take advantage of the free trials the streaming platforms offer nowadays, especially since there are so many of these competing services on the market. Who wouldn't want to see how the platform functions, what's in the library, and if it really is what you're looking for and suits you or not.

Streaming services keep changing their deals - some offer their trials on and off, some offer longer trials, so let's all there's to know about Disney Plus having a free trial.

Is There a Disney Plus Free Trial?

As far as we've seen this year, you can't get a Disney Plus free trial anymore in most parts of the world. Disney Plus used to have a free trial available until not so long ago - Disney Plus offered a 7-day free trial upon launch in several countries such as the US or Canada, which was removed after half a year. Japan even had a 31-day free trial, but that was removed in 2021.

However, that is no longer an option at the moment. This seems to be the case for all the countries and territories around the world, but if you live in a place where the Disney Plus free trial appears, please do let us and the other users know in the comments.

We should mention that Disney+ keeps launching in new countries and territories, so if you live in one of these, keep an eye for special launch offers such as a Disney Plus free trial in your region.

Will the Disney Plus Free Trial Come Back?

Disney Plus was launched on November 12, 2019. Back then, it used to offer free trials for the new countries where it was launching next, but places where the trail was removed never got it back again. This means it's safe to assume that is a rule for this streaming platform. So if you're living in a country or territory where Disney Plus already exists and has no free trial available (maybe even had a free trial that was pulled off), it won't ever get it back on offer.

As we mentioned in the segment above, the Disney Plus free trial might be back on offer upon the service's launch in new countries and territories.

Can I Get Disney Plus for Free?

At the moment, the Hulu + Live TV service comes with both the Disney Plus and ESPN Plus platforms for free as a bonus offer, included in the monthly standard subscription fee for US customers. So the most appealing deal of the year would be to subscribe to Hulu + Live TV and get Disney Plus for free, as well as ESPN Plus for no extra cost. This entire pack is only $69.99 per month.

We have some good news for Verizon customers in the US, both new and existing - you're eligible for six months of free Disney Plus! If you're a Verizon subscriber with select Unlimited plans or if you upgrade to Unlimited, you can take advantage of a very extensive free subscription. After the free six months end, you will pay the standard price for a standalone Disney Plus subscription on the streaming platform, which is $7.99 per month.

There used to be an Amazon Music Unlimited offer with a free Disney Plus subscription for six months and also an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate offer with access to Disney Plus for free within a trial period of one month. These were removed recently, but you should check the Xbox offers from time to time since the Disney Plus deal keeps returning on occasion.

If none of the above suits you, there's only one thing left to do - subscribe to Disney Plus. The price is not even that high, the service costs as much as a couple of coffees per month, so read below to find out more.

What Is the Cheapest Way to Get Disney Plus?

This streaming platform has a single plan that you can pay for monthly or annually, and it has slightly different costs depending on the country. You can find all the details you need in our dedicated article on the Disney Plus prices and offers around the world.

In the US, the price of the standalone Disney Plus streaming platform is $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year right now. However, there are also some bundles available, and those are the ones to get you the best price for the service.

The Disney Bundle includes Disney Plus, ESPN Plus, and Hulu with or without ads, all these for a discounted price. The Disney Bundle costs  $13.99 per month with ad-supported Hulu and $19.99 per month with Hulu (No Ads).

The best deal right now would be to subscribe to Hulu + Live TV now with Disney Plus and ESPN Plus. This entire pack's cost is only $69.99 per month, and since this is the standard price for the Hulu + Live TV service, it means both Disney Plus and ESPN Plus come for free. If you'd like to get the no-ads Hulu + Live TV with Disney Plus and ESPN Plus, that will cost you $75.99 per month.
