Can I Watch My Paramount+ Content While Traveling?

By Gabriela Vatu / March 3, 2021

One of the biggest issues folks using streaming services have is that they no longer get to enjoy content from the platforms they're subscribed to when traveling. Instead, they need a VPN. So, can we watch content on Paramount Plus while traveling? Let's find out.

Good news, everyone! According to Paramount Plus, if you're traveling within the European Union, Canada, Latin America, or Brazil, you'll get to watch SOME content.

Basically, as long as you have a solid Internet connection, you'll have access to a selection of shows and movies, but the content will vary from country to country. As far as the downloaded content goes, you may not have access to the content as the licenses are also subject to geo-restrictions.

Certain features may also be restricted, and you should keep in mind that streaming content would not be available in the US or markets where Paramount Plus is not available.

For your information, Paramount Plus is launching in the US, Latin America (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela), and Canada on March 4th.

Nordic European countries will also get Paramount Plus on March 25th, while Australia is getting the service later this year.

In short, you're quite likely to still need a VPN if the selection of shows that's available for you is not sufficient for your needs. If you are planning to travel outside the united states or currently living abroad we strongly recommend you get ExpressVPN to access all the Paramount+ content offered in the US.
