Surfshark has expanded its Dedicated IP feature with seven new server locations, giving users more options for a stable and private browsing experience. This update brings the total number of Dedicated IP locations to 20 worldwide.

The Dedicated IP feature allows users to connect to a unique, static IP address instead of the shared IPs typically used in VPN services. While shared IPs help boost anonymity, they lead to frequent CAPTCHAs, access issues with banking services, or complications with platforms that require consistent login behavior.

With a Dedicated IP, users get a more stable and reliable VPN experience,” said Justas Pukys, Senior Product Manager at Surfshark. “It helps reduce verification pop-ups and supports smoother access to services like remote work systems or banking.

The newly added Dedicated IP locations include:

These join the 13 existing locations already available in countries such as the US (San Jose, Los Angeles, Dallas), Canada, the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, and South Africa.

Surfshark says the expansion responds to increased demand from users in major global regions. More locations are expected in the near future. You'll also be glad to know that Surfshark recently rolled out its split tunneling feature for macOS.

Dedicated IP is a paid add-on available on Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS. It supports all major VPN protocols, including WireGuard, and comes with a monthly fee of $3.75 (in addition to your regular plan). To activate it, users can log in to their Surfshark account and select the "Dedicated IP" section under VPN options.

One key concern users may have with a fixed IP is privacy, since a unique IP could potentially be tied to their email or identity. Surfshark addresses this with an “anonymous mode,” which unlinks the IP from the user’s account. “This ensures that even Surfshark doesn’t know who the IP belongs to,” Pukys explained when the feature launched in 2023.

While it’s not a default feature, Surfshark’s Dedicated IP can be a helpful tool for those who want a consistent online identity without sacrificing security or privacy.
