  1. Curved OLED Display
  2. Wireless Charging
  3. Foldable Screen Type
  4. Stainless Steel Chassis

Get to know the complete history of these Apple features here.

Curved OLED Display

Apple's new iPhone 8 is now with an OLED display. At first, OLEDs haven’t outperformed LCDs and seems to be awful. There is a huge drawback on color accuracy when it comes to OLED screen display. But that’s changing now. According to TechNadu, OLED can beat the LCD in terms of managing power and brightness.

There may be some drawback in OLED panels and is more expensive to manufacture the product. They also said that this concept will affect the company’s profit margin.

Wireless Charging

Ming-Chi Kuo, the KGI Securities analyst, said that the upcoming Apple's iPhone 8 is switching to glass in order to implement wireless charging. Using glass will make the phone charge faster because of its fewer frequency disruption. With the iPhone 7 and 7s, Apple decided to remade the model with the glass casing in addition to wireless charging.

Wireless charging can reliably increase the speed of charging while the iPhone covers with the glass material.

This model will hit the market in 2017 and change the way of using smartphones. Apple seems to put wireless charging in all of its 2017 iPhones, including the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus (the next-generation 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch versions).

Foldable Screen Type

With OLED display, you can bend the next iPhone device like a book. Apple was granted a patent Tuesday for a design that could form the basis of a foldable iPhone.

Forged Stainless Steel Chassis

New Look- Forged Steel iPhone Chassis

iPhone 8 is to be adopted with stainless steel forging process instead of the traditional CNC techniques.

An aluminium back cover design that is seen on iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s will be abandoned by the reinforced glass in front and rear and adding the stronger metal chassis in the middle.

As per the report, the key change is a switch from ‘billet milling’ to ‘metal forging’. Milling essentially cuts the chassis from a piece of aluminium, while forging essentially squeezes the metal alloy into the mould using extreme pressure. The benefit of this latter method is the metal is much stronger.

But One of the foremost reasons for apple using stainless steel for the metal bezel is to enhance the robustness, slash the prices and the production time.
