Spotify Premium Users in The US Can Now Get Hulu for Free

By Nitish Singh / March 12, 2019

Spotify’s Premium plan is very enticing for music lovers all over the globe due to its competitive pricing and a wide selection of music. The deal is set to get even sweeter for Spotify users with the streaming giant including Hulu’s ad-supported streaming plan as part of the Premium service. All existing and new users should be able to access Hulu content starting today in the US. The music streaming giant has not yet confirmed if international users will get the perk anytime soon. The offer will be available till June 10th, 2019 and users need to redeem the promo before it ends.

Spotify Premium users can head to the “Your Services” page, and they will be able to activate Hulu within the account settings. You do not need to sign up for a separate Hulu account to access all of the content. Existing users who paid an additional $3 to get access to Hulu content will not have to change any settings as the streaming service will stop billing for Hulu content from your next renewal date. If you are subscribed to both services already simply cancel your Hulu subscription and you are good to go. Unfortunately, Family plan subscribers have been excluded from the offer.

Spotify Premium users under the student plan will continue getting the free bonuses including Hulu’s limited commercial plan and access to Showtime content but other users will not. You also can’t add new premium channels like HBO and Showtime to Hulu from the Spotify app. If you want to continue accessing the premium channels, you will need to get a separate Hulu subscription with the add-ons which can get quite expensive.
