Pandora launches $15 family plan to compete with Spotify and Apple Music
- Pandora announced a new premium family plan that allows six users to share an account for streaming unlimited music.

- The premium plan will allow users to stream music without being interrupted by ads and also download music for offline streaming.
Pandora has set its eyes on the music streaming market with the Pandora Premium Family plan. The new membership option allows unlimited music streaming access to up to six individuals. Spotify and Apple Music offer 15$ plans too for music streaming on multiple platforms.
The streaming service has 80 million users who access the platform for free through its ad-supported service. Users who upgrade to Pandora Premium will be able to stream unlimited music without ads and also download music for offline listening. Aside the two premium perks, both free and paid users get access to the same library of music without any audio quality differences.

Pandora Premium has been around since March, but the streaming service did not have a Family plan up until now. While Pandora does enjoy a large user base, the platform has only six million paying users compared to over 70 million Spotify Premium users. Pandora has been trying hard to compete against other popular streaming services with recent acquisitions like Rdio to enhance its offerings to users. While the app has a massive user base, it has failed to convert its free users to its Premium subscription plans.
The music streaming platform’s Premium plans cost $10 per individual, making the Family Plan quite a bargain if you have enough people to share an account with you. You can share the plan with your friends or other people who might be interested in getting the Premium membership with you.
Users who want to upgrade to the Premium plans need to sign up for the service first for free. After your Pandora account is ready, you can open your Pandora account’s settings on either the mobile app for iOS and Android or you can head to the web version of the app. Locate the Subscription option under your Account Settings page, and you will be able to choose between the Premium or Family Premium plans for $10 and $15 respectively.
