Key Takeaways
  • NordVPN no-logs audit: Deloitte confirms NordVPN does not collect, store, or track user browsing data.
  • Sixth independent verification: Audit follows global ISAE standards and reviews servers, systems, and privacy settings.
  • User privacy assurance: Repeated audits aim to strengthen transparency, trust, and confidence in long-term data protection.

NordVPN has once again cleared an independent review of its no-logs policy, marking the sixth time the VPN provider has received external confirmation that it does not track or store users’ online activity.

The latest assessment was carried out by Deloitte Lithuania, part of the global Big Four auditing firms, at the end of 2025. The audit checked whether NordVPN’s systems match its public claims about user privacy and data handling.

Deloitte Reviews NordVPN’s Systems and Servers

According to NordVPN, Deloitte conducted the assurance engagement between November 10 and December 12, 2025. The process followed the International Standard on Assurance Engagements 3000 (Revised), a globally accepted auditing framework.

As part of the review, Deloitte professionals interviewed NordVPN employees and examined its technical setup. This included inspecting different server types such as standard VPN servers, Double VPN, obfuscated servers, and Onion Over VPN servers. Special focus was placed on privacy-related configurations and whether any user activity logs were being collected or stored.

The assessment was done as a “point-in-time” review, meaning Deloitte evaluated NordVPN’s systems as they operated during that specific period. The final assurance report was issued on December 12, 2025.

Based on the evidence reviewed, Deloitte concluded that NordVPN’s IT systems and operations are designed and implemented in line with its no-logs policy. While the full technical report is not publicly available, NordVPN users can access it through their Nord Account.

Why NordVPN Repeats These Audits

NordVPN said it continues to commission independent audits to build trust and provide proof that its privacy claims are accurate. By undergoing regular external reviews, the company aims to maintain transparency and reassure users that their browsing activity is not monitored or stored.

This latest engagement marks the sixth time NordVPN’s no-logs policy has been independently verified.
