How to Watch Monday Night Football Without Cable in 2020: Schedule, TV Channel, Live Stream

By Gabriela Vatu / September 14, 2020

With the new NFL season just around the corner, we will start enjoying Monday Night Football once again. We plan on watching every game online, so let's go and figure out how you can do the same

This year's NFL season kick starts on September 10th. It will last through to the end of the year before the Playoffs begin - and eventually, the Pro Bowl and the Super Bowl take place at the end of January, respectively, at the beginning of February.

It is going to be an eventful year, especially with new restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as the stadiums are expected to be mostly empty for most of the teams.

When and Where to Watch Monday Night Football?

If you're hoping to watch Monday Night Football, you should know that ESPN is the place to go. Like in previous years, ESPN will have the broadcasting rights for Monday Night Football games, so make sure you tune in to watch them all.

The games are scheduled at different hours, including 8:15 PM, 7:10 PM, or 10:20 PM. You can check the schedule to make sure you tune in at the right time.

How Can I Live Stream Monday Night Football Without Cable?

One thing we already mentioned is that Monday Night Football is available to stream and watch on ESPN. This makes things that much easier because ESPN is an easy-to-follow online resident part of numerous live TV platforms. In fact, one of our favorite platforms to go for is fuboTV, as it was originally planned for sports fans.

About a hundred networks are available on fubo TV's main bundle, including ESPN, but you can always add more by selecting any of the available extra channel packs or the premium networks they have. The main bundle is part of several plans that also come with additional channel packs and premium networks, but you can also customize it all yourself.

fuboTV works on loads of devices, including iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Chromecast, Roku, and others.

While it's true that fuboTV is easily one of our favorites for sports, given the numerous dedicated channels, there are other services you should look into.

Hulu is a great service that comes with a single bundle of networks. You will find ESPN is part of the main bundle, but you can also add extra channel packs and premium networks to your account should you want more content. When you subscribe to the Hulu Live TV service, you also get access to the Hulu On-Demand library, which means you can enjoy multiple platforms. Start your free trial on Hulu now!

Another option for you is Sling TV, which is a highly customizable service with three bundles available. You will only find ESPN networks on two of these, namely Orange and Orange + Blue. Before you choose, you need to have all the details, particularly the fact that Orange subscribers only get one device to stream on, while Orange + Blue subscribers get four simultaneous streams. There are numerous extra channel packs you can add to your account, as well as plenty of premium networks. Watch 3 Days Free on Sling TV Now!

Note
ESPN is available in select markets only. To be able to watch it from anywhere, you will need to use a VPN. Read more below.

How Can I Watch Monday Night Football From Anywhere?

If you want to watch Monday Night Football even when you are traveling abroad, you should know that there are some options available. Live TV platforms are geo-blocked, so you won't be able to access them as easily.

What you will need to do is to trick the site into thinking you are in the United States, which you can do by changing your IP address. In order to do this, you should use a VPN that can perform the whole thing in just a few seconds.

Our recommendation is to use ExpressVPN, which has thousands of servers all over the world and some great privacy features that are certainly going to come in handy.

You need to subscribe to ExpressVPN (49% OFF), get the right apps for your device, and find a server from the United States, so you can connect to it. As soon as the connection is established, you may move forward and load fuboTV so that you can start watching Monday Night Football anywhere.

As you probably already know, the NFL blacks out various games in order to direct people to the field. However, this time around, we have VPNs, which can be particularly useful to help you connect to servers from a different city where the game you are interested in is available to watch.

You'll simply have to follow the same procedure we already mentioned and pick a server from a different US city to connect to. When the connection is established, you'll need to reload fuboTV or relaunch the app, and you'll be able to watch all the games in that particular area - including the local channels assigned there.
