‘Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest’ Gets New OVA

Good news for Arifureta fans! The official website and Twitter handle for "Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest" have recently announced a new original video anime (OVA) for the series. The update comes right after the 12th and final episode of the second season aired on Thursday.

The series follows a high-school otaku student Hajime Nagumo, transported to another world with the rest of his class to fight in a war against the demon race. After he is betrayed and left to die by one of his classmates, Hajime begins a journey to improve himself and find a way to return home.

Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest New OVA Announced

A new OVA for the Arifureta anime series has just been announced. A new trailer also gives fans a glance into the OVA featuring characters Oscar and Miledi. The first season of the anime series premiered in July 2019, and it aired for 13 episodes. The second season of Arifureta premiered on the AT-X channel on January 13, 2022.

Fans can check out all the sub and dubbed episodes for Arifureta on Funimation and Hulu. Both platforms streamed the series as it aired in Japan. Check out a recently released trailer for the upcoming OVA episode of Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest below:

Arifureta Season 2 saw a new director and one new studio. Akira Iwanaga directed the anime at asread and Studio Mother. Several staff members returned for the second season, including Shoichi Sato, who came back to oversee and write the series scripts. Chika Kojima served as the character designer and chief animation director for the series, while Ryo Takahashi was once again the music composer. MindaRyn performed the opening theme song, "Daylight."

Funimation's official description for Arifureta Season 2 reads:

"Transported to another world and left behind by his former friends, Hajime had to make his rise from literal rock bottom. It was in the labyrinth where he strengthened his weak magic and found several beautiful allies. Now after saving his classmates, he ventures for Erisen to escort Myuu and her mother. He'll fight and defeat anyone he has to in order to find a way home—including a god!"
