Violette Wagner moves to New York to pursue her dream of performing on Broadway. She gets a job at Fiore’s, a well-known diner in the theater district. Her late mother’s best friend runs the restaurant and is famous for its singing wait staff. They work there while hoping for their big break. She gets a lucky chance to sing at Fiore’s annual Christmas Eve concert, attended by many important people from the theatre world.Â
However, her big opportunity is a duet with Alex, who has not been very friendly. She thinks she only got the job because the owner of Fiore’s is a family friend. They have to work with each other, though, because some cast members from that show have made it to Broadway. While they rehearse together, Alex’s cousin, Brad, becomes interested in Violette, and they start dating. However, Violette doesn’t know that Alex secretly gives Brad information about her, like Cyrano de Bergerac, to help win her over. When Alex starts to have feelings for her, a love triangle forms. This conflict escalates when their lies come to light, putting Violette and Alex’s big opportunity at risk.
