While the rest of the anime Sekai celebrates April Fools' Day, The Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made anime series is getting serious! The anime's official website has announced that a sequel to the series is in the works. Moreover, the website also updated the new teaser visual and a countdown timer that ends in 126 days.
The fantasy-comedy story of The Fruit of Evolution focuses on Seiichi Hiiragi. One of the least popular students of his school, Seiichi, and his entire school's world is turned upside down when they're transported into another world. Our young protagonist soon finds himself alone and approached by a gorilla, who, instead of attacking him, proposes to him. Upon eating the Fruit of Evolution, their lives are changed forever.
The Fruit of Evolution has just announced a second anime season! The anime's website features a countdown that will end on August 5. Interestingly, August 5 is also the first day of the Crunchyroll Expo. Based on the light novels by Miku, The Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made is directed by Yoshiaki Okumura at studios feel., Hotline and Children's Playground Entertainment. The series stars Hiro Shimono as protagonist Seiichi Hiiragi and Kana Hanazawa as Saria.
Miku began serializing the story on the "Shosetsuka ni Naro" (Let's Become Novelists) website in January 2014, where it is still ongoing. Futabasha's Monster Bunko light novel label began publishing the novel in print in September 2014, with illustrations by U35. Hanashi Media, a new U.S-based manga and light novel publisher, licensed the series in English and Spanish.
