Prime Video Originals

Heads of State (July 2)

This explosive action comedy follows UK Prime Minister Sam Clarke (Idris Elba) and U.S. President Will Derringer (John Cena) as they’re forced to team up—despite their very public rivalry—when a deadly foreign enemy targets them both. Directed by Ilya Naishuller, the star-studded cast includes Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, and Sarah Niles. It is one of the most highly anticipated releases on Prime Video in July.

Simple Plan: The Kids in the Crowd (July 8)

This new original documentary dives deep into the rise of a legendary rock band, tracing their journey from gritty Montreal basement gigs to worldwide fame. With rare footage and behind-the-scenes access, it captures their evolution and enduring influence as one of punk rock’s most successful and still wildly popular acts.

Ballard (July 9)

Ballard, the newest chapter in the Bosch universe, stars Maggie Q as LAPD cold-case detective Renée Ballard. Based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling novels, the series follows Ballard as she reopens Los Angeles' toughest unsolved crimes—and refuses to back down until justice is served. It is your go-to series to watch on Prime Video in July.

Menem (July 9)

Menem is a gripping fictionalized drama based on true events, following the rise and rule of Argentine president Carlos Menem (played by Leonardo Sbaraglia) during the turbulent 1990s. Across six powerful episodes, the series explores his charismatic leadership, the economic overhaul of convertibility, and the shocking terrorist attacks that rocked Buenos Aires.

One Night in Idaho: The College Murders (July 11)

This four-part docuseries delves into the harrowing 2022 murder of four college students in the quiet town of Moscow, Idaho. Through exclusive interviews with the victims’ families and friends, it offers an intimate, emotional look at the tragedy, its aftermath, and the lasting impact on a shaken community.

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 (July 16)

In the third and final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty, Belly (Lola Tung) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) return to Cousins Beach for one last unforgettable summer after her junior year of college. The season kicks off with a two-episode premiere, followed by new episodes every Wednesday, leading up to the emotional series finale on Sept. 17, 2025. It is one of the top highlights coming to Prime Video in July 2025.

Surf Girls: International (July 17)

The second season of Surf Girls, produced by Reese Witherspoon, follows five rising female surfers as they chase glory on the global stage in the Challenger Series. Representing their home countries, these athletes battle not only fierce competition but also personal challenges as they fight to make their mark in the world of professional surfing.

Follow (‘Juegos de Seducción’) (July 18)

In this gripping new Amazon Original film, Sebastián (Diego Boneta) is a charming con artist who preys on wealthy women—until he meets Carolina (Martha Higareda), a mysterious woman who upends his carefully crafted game. Their steamy affair quickly spirals into danger when Sebastián’s next target turns out to be Carolina’s husband—a ruthless man with the power to destroy them both.

Justice on Trial (July 21)

Judge Judy Sheindlin returns in a powerful courtroom drama that puts the American justice system under the microscope. Revisiting notorious real-life cases, she and her legal team re-create the trials to explore where the law may have fallen short of true justice—raising the stakes in every verdict. Don’t forget to add this in your list of what to watch on Prime Video in July 2025!

Shiny Happy People: A Teenage Holy War (July 23)

The second season of Shiny Happy People dives into the rise and unraveling of Teen Mania, once the largest youth ministry in the U.S. Known for its high-energy stadium shows and purity pledges, the ministry captivated millions—until troubling truths began to surface.
