How to Watch ‘The Purge’ Online – Live Stream Season 2

By Gabriela Vatu / September 16, 2019

For those of us who enjoy horror movies and series, The Purge is just the right dose of creepy. With a new season coming on soon on USA Network, we cannot wait to dive right back into the story.

Some years back, the movie franchise The Purge was rising to fame, luring in horror fans with the new spin they brought to the genre - one night when the rule of law broke, allowing citizens to "purge" their neighbors with no repercussions. The USA Network TV series premiered in 2018 and it revolves around the same premise. For 12 hours, all crimes, whether vandalism, murder, arson, or theft, was allowed by the totalitarian government.

The series follows several characters - a Marine looking for his sister, an exec using the Purge for revenge, and a couple who attend a Purge party to seek investments for their business. The first season's main cast features Gabriel Chavarria, Hannah Emily Anderson, Jessica Garza, Lee Tergesen, and Max Martini. Given the high kill trend of the show, it remains to be seen how many of them will see the end of the second season.

When and Where to Watch The Purge?

Talking of which, The Purge is set to premiere on October 15th on USA Network. The show will run at 9 PM on Sundays, right before new show Treadstone.

How Can I Watch The Purge Without Cable?

We live in the digital era, so it makes perfect sense to watch a lot of content online, even TV. Live TV platforms are also a great way to do this, especially one like fuboTV. Start your 7-day trial on fuboTV! USA Network is a channel that is present in the main bundle of fuboTV, which is a service that you can even test out for seven days before committing to it. Originally, the service was built for sports lovers, and it has dozens of dedicated channels. Loads of entertainment networks have been added and USA Network is part of these.

When you subscribe to fuboTV you get access to a hundred channels, as well as the ability to watch content on two devices at the same time and to record up to 30 hours of content to the cloud so you can watch later. fuboTV works on Amazon Fire TV, Android phones and tablets, Android TV, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, iOS phones and tablets, Roku, and Samsung Smart TVs. (Note: fuboTV isn't available outside of the US so you're going to have to use a VPN if you travel abroad. Here's how to do that.)

Let's guide you through the sign-up process for a 7-day trial on fuboTV, so you can watch The Purge:

  • First, you should visit fuboTV's website and tap the "Start Free Trial" button. The free trial they mention lasts for a week, so it will be that long before you are billed.
  • Then, you need to provide an email address and create a secure password or use the social login buttons provided by Google and Facebook.
  • Next, you need to choose a plan. The bare-bones one is called Fubo Standard, while the other plans also include extra packs and premium networks at better prices.
  • Once you choose the Standard plan, you can move on to the next step where you choose the extra packs of channels you want to add or the premium networks, as well as the add-ons to expand the cloud DVR storage space and number of devices to watch on.
  • When you've decided on everything you want to add, you can finalize the purchase by filling in your card details. As mentioned, there is a 7-day trial period, so you won't get billed.
  • Go ahead and start watching The Purge and every other cool thing that comes with fuboTV!

Other services that can help you watch The Purge

Sling TV - Another great way to watch The Purge is by subscribing to Sling TV. USA Network is present in two of the three bundles, namely Blue and Orange + Blue. Start your 7-day trial now! Keep an eye out for the first-month deal they offer and get 40% off.

PlayStation Vue - One of our favorite platforms is PlayStation Vue, which features USA Network in all four bundles. Among its best features, we can name watching on up to five devices at once and recording up to 500 programs to the cloud.

What Can I Do to Watch The Purge When Outside of the USA?

Watching content online is easy to do, but when it comes to Live TV platforms like fuboTV, Sling TV, and PlayStation Vue, you need to know that they're all geo-blocked, so you can only enjoy them when you're inside the United States. When you travel abroad, licensing deals come in effect, and you can't access the platforms anymore. The issue can be fixed easily by using ExpressVPN, which is one of the top VPN tools in the world. VPNs can help change your IP address to trick the site into thinking you haven't left the US.

Here is everything you need to know to use a VPN and bypass the blockade so you can watch The Purge when outside of the US:

  • First, you need to subscribe to ExpressVPN (49% OFF) by visiting their website. Rest assured, the service has a 30-day money-back guarantee so you can get a refund if you don't like it for any reason.
  • Now it's time to download the app and to install it on your device. When the process is complete, you can move ahead and load the app to log into your account.
  • ExpressVPN features dozens of US-based servers and you can choose one to connect to it. It only takes a few seconds for the process to complete.
  • When the app informs you that the connection has been established, you can load fuboTV, tune in on USA Network, and enjoy The Purge every Sunday.

Can I Watch The Purge on USA Network's Website?

The USA Network website comes well equipped, meaning that it does feature a live stream. In order to access it, you're going to need to use credentials from fuboTV, or any other live TV platform or cable company that you have. As long as you pay for a plan from your TV provider that features USA Network, you're good to go.

The channel also has an app that you can download and which will grant you access to the live stream and the video-on-demand content when you're on the go. The app works on almost all your home platforms - iOS phones and tablets, Android phones and tablets, Apple TV, Roku, Xbox One S, and Amazon Fire TV. You'll also need TV provider credentials to sign up for this app too. (Note: The app and site are also geo-blocked, so you're going to need to follow the same steps to use ExpressVPN to unblock when traveling outside of the United States.
