Sunnyside is set in New York City and focuses on Garrett Modi who is a former City Councilman who lost his career following drug charges that were brought upon him. He then concentrates on teaching immigrants the civics lesson that they need to know in order to qualify as American citizens.

It is unclear exactly how many episodes the first season will have but we estimate that it is going to be around 20 or 22, much like other series that are featured on NBC. The episodes are 25 minutes long and we are quite certain that this is going to happen.

The first season of Sunnyside premiered on NBC on September 26th, 2019, and new episodes are broadcast by the station on Thursdays, at 9:40 PM.
