How to Watch People’s Choice Awards 2019 Online Without Cable – Find the Best of the Best

By Gabriela Vatu / September 8, 2019

We're going to be honest with you and admit that we love award shows because they're so much fun to watch - all the performances, all our favorite musicians and actors, and whatnot, gathered in one place. What's not to love, right? Well, this time we're going to discuss watching People's Choice Awards online since the show isn't that far off.

The first time the People's Choice Awards aired was back in 1975 and back then it was sponsored by Procter & Gamble. Nowadays, starting with 2017, in fact, the show has moved to E!.

In general, the show features tons of categories, from favorite movies, actors, actresses, genre movies, TV shows, TV actors and actresses, best albums, music artists, songs, and more. There's also a digital section dedicated to the best video game, YouTube stars, and more.

Who Was Nominated for the 2019 People's Choice Awards?

One thing that has changed over the years is the voting method. Back in the 1900s, the awards were based on results from Gallup polls. Now, they're decided by online voting and have been since 2005. The nominees have yet to be announced, mainly because they're still taking in submissions at the time of writing. You will be able to vote your favorites for the top 8 nominees starting with September 4th.

We'll return to update the article with a link when the nominees are revealed.

When and Where to Watch People's Choice Awards?

The People's Choice Awards will be broadcast by E! on November 10th, at 9 PM ET. The show will last quite a few hours, to clear up your schedule ahead of time.

How Can I Live Stream the People's Choice Awards?

Since the People's Choice Awards are hosted by E! it's pretty easy to watch the show online. Sling TV is one of the best platforms on the market and comes with a ton of customization options. Start your Sling TV subscription! It offers three bundles - Orange, Blue, and Orange + Blue -, but E! is only present in two of them, namely Blue and Orange + Blue. Your choice will influence the number of devices you can watch TV on at the same time, with the Blue bundle offering subscribers the chance to watch on up to three devices at once, and Orange + Blue to four screens at once.

If you want to customize your plan, Sling TV has plenty of opportunities, packing up channels by theme - Sports, Comedy, Kids, News, Lifestyle, etc. Depending on where your interests lie, you can add the ones you want to watch. The Cloud DVR storage space doesn't come with the subscription, but you can choose the add-on, pay $5 extra, and record up to 50 hours of video. Sling TV comes with dedicated apps for Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, Android TV, AirTV Player, LG, Samsung, Oculus, iOS phones and tablets, Android phones and tablets, Fire tablets, and Xbox One, plus browsers.

Other Ways to Watch the People's Choice Awards

fuboTV - You can start your 7-day free trial on fuboTV quite easily, as E! is present in the main bundle. You can add loads of channel packs and premium networks.

YouTube TV - On YouTube TV, you'll find a single bundle of channels that features E! so it's easy to watch People's Choice Awards.

What Can I Do to Watch the People's Choice Awards Outside of the United States?

Regardless of which live TV platform we're discussing - whether it's Sling TV, fuboTV, or YouTube TV - they all have the same issue - they're geoblocked. Licensing deals are causing this because they can't allow companies to broadcast content outside of the United States. This can be quite inconvenient for users, so if you happen to travel abroad and are in need to access Sling TV, which you've subscribed to, you can use a VPN to solve the problem. We only recommend going for ExpressVPN since it's easily one of the best currently on the market, so check that out!

Here's what you need to know to use ExpressVPN to watch the People's Choice Awards!

Can I Watch People's Choice Awards on the E! Website?

Yes, you can do that because E! features a live stream that you can access on its website. This is pretty cool, but you'll need to keep in mind that you have to log into an account by using credentials from your TV provider, whether a cable company, Sling TV, or another live TV service as the ones we just mentioned. (Note: Keep in mind that E! has a website that is also geoblocked, so you're going to have to be in the United States if you want to access it. The alternative is using a VPN such as ExpressVPN to bypass the blockade. Read here to find out how to do this.)
