Third time's a charm! After having to be rescheduled twice already, we hope that this third face-off between Jamel Herring and Jonathan Oquendo will finally happen.
The two were supposed to meet twice before, but Herring posted positive for COVID-19, so the events got rescheduled. First, it was programmed for July 2nd and the second time fo July 14th, but Herring had not gotten a negative test by then. According to the plan, if Herring manages to defeat Oquendo and defend his title, he'll go on to do the same against Carl Frampton sometime in November.
Herring will defend his WBO junior lightweight title against Oquendo in a 12-round bout in the match at the MGM Grand Conference Center.
