How to Watch ‘Emergence’ Online – Live Stream Season 1 Episodes

By Gabriela Vatu / September 27, 2019

This fall we have a mystery-themed thriller premiering on ABC. Titled Emergence, the show takes on a bit of a Science-Fiction flavor.

Emergence features Alexis Skye Swinton and Allison Tolman, the main pair of the show. Jo is the main character and she's a police chief who takes in a young girl that she finds near a mysterious accident site. Since the girl has no memory of her previous life, things take on an interesting twist.

Even better, the girl seems to have some sort of paranormal powers so the series has a lot of promise. We can't wait to see the first three episodes and make up our minds about our favorite parts.

When and Where to Watch Emergence?

The first season of the Emergence will premiere on September 24th, 2019, and episodes are airing on Tuesdays on ABC. The show is taking over the 10 PM time slot so you can have something interesting to watch on Tuesdays evenings.

How Can I Live Stream Emergence?

In the past few years, we've seen a definitive growth in live TV platforms, as more and more people cut the cord and start watching even more content over the internet. If you're going to watch Emergence online we suggest you use a platform such as Hulu, which can give you access to the right channel. Hulu is a great platform that you are probably quite familiar with, although the live TV service is fairly more recent than the video-on-demand service. Either way, when you subscribe to the live TV service, you will also gain access to the video-on-demand library. Start your 7-Day free trial on Hulu today!

Hulu has a lot of apps that you can use to watch Emergence on, including for iOS phones and tablets, Android phones and tablets, Apple TV, Fire TV, Roku, Xbox, Chromecast, Samsung Smart TVs, and web browsers. (Note: Hulu is a service that only works in the United States so if you're going to travel abroad you can use a VPN to access the service. Click here to learn how you can do this.)

Here's everything you need to do to sign up for your 7-Day free trial on Hulu:

Other Ways to Watch Emergence

PlayStation Vue - One of the platforms that feature ABC is Playstation Vue, which comes with four bundles to choose from - Access, Core, Elite, and Ultra. PlayStation Vue provides all subscribers with enough Cloud DVR storage space for 500 programs and the possibility to watch content on five different devices at the same time.

YouTube TV - We also have YouTube TV on our list and it's a great service that enables people to record unlimited videos to the Cloud and watch the shows on up to three devices at the same time. There is a single bundle of channels on YouTube TV and it does feature ABC, so you can watch your favorite shows, including the new Emergence.

What Can I Do to Watch Emergence Outside of the United States?

If you travel outside of the United States, you should know that live TV platforms and streaming services can no longer help you, because licensing deals they have signed to prevent them from broadcasting content outside of the US borders. If you want to continue having access to these platforms you're going to have to use a VPN to bypass the blockade. We always recommend ExpressVPN which is one of the best on the market with thousands of servers across the world and tight security and privacy features.

Here is what you need to do to use ExpressVPN in order to watch Emergence:

Can I Watch Emergence on ABC's Website?

Yes, ABC has a website that features a live stream that you can access. They also have an app that is called ABC Go and you can download it on your devices - iOS phones and tablets, Android phones and tablets, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, Android TV, Roku, Samsung Smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV. For both of these, you're going to need to use credentials from your TV provider, whether that's a live TV service or a cable company. (Note: both the ABC website and the apps are geo-blocked, so if you happen to travel abroad you're going to need to use VPN to unblock the stream. Click here to learn how to do this easily.)

Can I Watch Emergence With a TV Antenna?

ABC is one of the channels that continues to broadcast over-the-air so you can use a TV antenna to enjoy the content. Cord-cutters are big fans of TV antennas because they are relatively easy to purchase since they are cheap and you can access dozens of TV channels for free, depending on where you live.

Before you go ahead and buy yourself an antenna, we suggest you visit a site such as NoCable which can tell you more about the networks that are available over-the-air in your specific location so you can figure out if an antenna is going to help you watch Emergence or not. We have already offered you a bunch of suggestions in terms of devices that you can get, but you can do your own research if you want more.

Can I Binge-Watch Emergence?

As soon as the show starts airing you're going to be able to find Emergence episodes on the ABC website. You should also be able to find the show over on Hulu once a bunch of episodes have aired.

Can I Purchase Emergence Episodes?

Once the show starts, you're going to be able to find episodes from Emergence available to purchase from platforms like Google Play, YouTube, iTunes, Microsoft Store, Amazon Prime, and Vudu. You should come back and check them up when they become available before making any purchases, in case any of them have a better offer available for you.
