The Sticky is a series that blends crime, comedy, and drama, inspired by the infamous "Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist." 

The show follows Ruth Landry, a resilient maple syrup farmer played by three-time Emmy winner Margo Martindale. Facing the loss of her livelihood due to bureaucratic interference, Ruth decides to fight back in an unconventional way—by orchestrating a multi-million-dollar heist targeting Quebec's maple syrup reserve.

To pull off the daring crime, Ruth teams up with an unlikely duo: a fiery Boston mobster and a reserved French-Canadian security guard. Together, they navigate a series of challenges, blending humor, suspense, and emotional depth in their quest for justice and survival.

The trailer for The Sticky introduces viewers to a chaotic trio of maple syrup thieves—Margo Martindale, Chris Diamantopoulos, and Guillaume Cyr—who are on a high-stakes adventure for "liquid gold." As they navigate evading the law and wreaking havoc, the trailer teases the darker elements of their escapades, including hints at possible murder.

When asked about the possibility of The Sticky getting a second season, Chris Diamantopoulos shared an optimistic perspective during an interview with The Direct. He described the first season as a "preamble" to something much bigger, saying, “It begs the question of, holy shit, now what? And now it is huge.” While keeping details under wraps, Diamantopoulos confirmed the series was always envisioned as a multi-season project and expressed strong confidence in the potential for future seasons.
