Anime fans, get ready for another riveting isekai series, for The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World is getting an anime adaptation! The news comes via Kodansha Light Novel Bunko's official blog. In addition, the editorial department for the platform also revealed a tentative release date for the upcoming anime adaptation.
The novel author, Nana Mikoshiba, confirmed the anime adaptation news via their Twitter account. The tweet has been posted in Japanese, which, when translated, reads: "'The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World.' What a surprise..., it has been decided to make it into an anime! It's all thanks to everyone who has supported it! Thank you so much! I hope you will enjoy Hyouken the anime world as well!"
The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World: All We Know
The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World (Hyouken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu) is based on Nana Mikoshiba's fantasy light novel series. Mikoshiba's novel has been serialized on the user-generated novel publishing website Shousetsuka ni Narou since October 2019.
The novel's print edition featuring illustrations by Riko Korie has been published by Kodansha Light Novel Bunko imprint since June 2020. According to reports, the print edition's latest fifth volume will be released in Japan on May 2. Mikoshiba's light novel has also inspired a manga adaptation.
The novel's manga adaptation, illustrated by Norihito Sasaki, has also been serialized on Kodansha's free manga app "Magazine Pocket" since June 2020. Kodansha USA's manga imprint Kodansha Comics has acquired the rights to publish the series in English. Fans can check out the manga series on Kodansha's official website.
