Spy x Family OP/ ED Themes Announced; Main Trailer Released

The upcoming anime series, "Spy x Family," has recently released its main trailer for fans. It features information about the opening and ending songs for the series. In addition, the trailer also gives fans some insight into the lives of the main trio's family, as well as some action scenes.

Spy x Family is set to premiere in Japan on April 9, 2022. The series is based on the Shueisha-published manga of the same name, by Tatsuya Endou. The manga is serialized on Shonen Jump+ and published under the Jump Comics+ label. Serialization of the manga began in 2019 with eight tankoubon volumes as of November 2021.

According to the latest update from the Spy x Family series staff, the opening song "Mixed Nuts" will be performed by Official Hige Dandism, while Gen Hoshino will perform the ending theme song "Kigeki." It was previously announced that the first two episodes of the anime series would receive an April 1 screening in several Japanese theaters, with the main three voice actors to make an appearance at Toho Cinemas Hibiya for a talk show.

Kazuhiro Furuhashi serves as the director for the series. Spy x Family's anime staff members include Kazuaki Shimada as character designer and co-chief animation director, Kyouji Asano as co-chief animation director, Takashi Katagiri, Norihito Takahashi, and Harada Takahiro as assistant directors. Meanwhile, the main cast of Spy x Family includes Takuya Eguchi as Loid Forger, Saori Hayami as Yor Forger, and Atsumi Tanezaki as Anya Forger. Fans outside of Japan can watch the series on Crunchyroll, which will simulcast the series. The anime streaming platform describes the Spy x Family series as:

At a time when all nations of the world were involved in a fierce war of information happening behind closed doors, Ostania and Westalis had been in a state of cold war against one another for decades.

The Westalis Intelligence Services' Eastern-Focused Division (WISE) sends their most talented spy, "Twilight," on a top-secret mission to investigate the movements of Donovan Desmond, the chairman of Ostania's National Unity Party, who is threatening peace efforts between the two nations.

It consists of "putting together a family in one week in order to infiltrate social gatherings organized by the elite school that Desmond's son attends."

"Twilight" takes on the identity of psychiatrist Loid Forger and starts looking for family members. But Anya, the daughter he adopts, turns out to have the ability to read people's minds, while his wife, Yor, is an assassin! With it being in each of their own interests to keep these facts hidden, they start living together while concealing their true identities from one another.

World peace is now in the hands of this brand-new family as they embark on an adventure full of surprises."
