Spotify Partners with Festicket To Offer Festival Ticket Suggestions

Spotify announced its latest feature “Festival Finder” recently that allows users to connect their existing Spotify tickets to Festicket and receive music festival suggestions. The Festival Finder feature takes advantage of the information on upcoming festivals stored in the UK-based startup’s large database. The app will use an algorithm to identify what kind of music you like and lists the ten most relevant music festivals that may be relevant to you.
The tie-up between Festicket and Spotify helps the ticketing company solve its discoverability problem. Festicket has been unable to offer a “Discover” feature that allows users to find custom-tailored recommendations based on their preferences. With over a thousand festivals available on the platform and Spotify’s large user base, music lovers of both platforms stand to benefit from the tie-up.

CEO and co-founder of Festicket revealed, “Our Festival Finder solves that problem by presenting a tailored list of festivals that best match your listening habits, including some under the radar gems that could soon become your new favorite festival destination.”
The new feature allows users to keep track of upcoming music festivals as well as respective lineups right from the Spotify app. Festival Finder not only allows you to book music festival tickets from the Spotify app but also travel and accommodation tickets as well. It also includes a waiting list feature in case you do not manage to grab a ticket in time. As soon as tickets become available, users will be notified via the Spotify app.
When it comes to user privacy, Festicket will only be collecting Spotify artist data to offer its services. No other personal information will be collected. With Spotify losing its number one spot to Apple Music in the US, the move could help the music streaming company gain a sizeable number of users.
