Shin Ikki Tousen Reveals Names of Four New Voice Actors!
The continuation of the Ikki Tousen martial arts anime, Shin Ikki Tousen, is set to make its debut this year! Ahead of its release, the production team has revealed four more character designs and the character's voice actors, giving fans a small peek at what to expect. Rion Kujo directed the series with Taiji Kawanishi as the assistant director.
Masaya Honda returns to write the scripts and series compositions from Ikki Tousen: Western Wolves. Moreover, Rin-Sin also returns from the Ikki Tousen series to design the characters with Tsutomu Miyazawa. In addition, Miyazawa is also the chief animation director of the anime, alongside Seo Gu Lee as the art director.
The animation is being produced at Arms. Shigeteru Asakawa serves as the director of photography, while Yasuharu Takanashi composes the music, all returning from previous Ikki Tousen anime. Read on to know more.
Shin Ikki Tousen Cast Additions and More
Shin Ikki Tousen continues from the previous work with Hakufu Sonsaku's younger sister as the battles come up from Kansai to Kanto. The first episode will be released on AT-X on May 17, 2022. In addition, the second episode is set for May 24, with the third for May 31.
Crunchyroll will be streaming the episodes after they air in Japan. According to a translated excerpt from the official website, the story revolves around the following:
“A masterpiece of high school girl hyper battle ‘Ikki Tousen’ that revives the soul of the hero of the Three Kingdoms that colored history. As the new chapter, it is decided to animate “Shin Ikki Tousen” serialized in Young King Ours! The “death battle” that Arms deals with, far surpassing the fierce battles of the beautiful fighters, so far, begins here!”
