The Shaman King manga ran from 1998 to 2004 with 32 tankoubon volumes. Shueisha originally published the manga before being re-published by Kodansha in 2018. It later inspired the 2011 Shaman King: Zero manga and the 2012 to 2014 sequel Shaman King: Flowers, which starred Hana. Various Shaman King video games have also been released over the years.

Kodansha USA describes the sequel series, Shaman King: Flowers, as:

"The action returns in this brand-new sequel to SHAMAN KING! Hana Asakura finds that being the son of Yoh & Anna Asakura isn't all it's cracked up to be, and his boredom has him itching for any kind of excitement. But when a fight comes straight to his doorstep, it's from a place he least expects—his own family? The battle for Asakura supremacy begins!"
