Severance season 2 episode 8 dropped a major bombshell that changes the show in many ways. For one, it was revealed who had created the severance program, and it wasn’t James Eagan.Â
The episode mainly focuses on Harmony Cobel, who returns to her past life after Helena Eagan refused to let her head the Severance Advisory Council since Seth Milchick had already been given the job. In this article, we will reveal what happened in this episode.Â
Severance season 2 episode 8 begins with Harmony Cobel living in Salt’s Neck in her small car after her unsuccessful attempts to get her old job at Lumon Industries back. But she wants to know more about her previous life and so she meets Hampton, someone who works at The Drippy Pot Café.Â
Hampton, just like Harmony, worked for Lumon in the past. But he left the company because he didn’t want to work as a laborer for the multinational entity. They are united by their contempt for their former workplace. So, Harmony wants his help to go to Sissy’s house.Â
Since Harmony fears that the people working for Lumon might watch and identify her when she goes there so she asks the waiter to take her in his truck.Â
Severance season 2 episode 8 establishes that Sissy Cobel is likely the aunt of Harmony. Both of them don’t have a good relationship even though they are relatives because Sissy has been giving away her belongings. But Harmony has more important matters to attend to.Â
She is back at her childhood home because she is looking for her late mother’s room. Harmony believes that her mother wouldn’t have thrown away anything important and it might tell her something about her past with Lumon. She is right as her search leads her to an underground storage space located near the house.Â
At the underground storage Harmony finds an award she won as a Wintertide fellow. Inside the bust, she finds a notebook where the foundations of the severed program are detailed. This included the Turkish block, overtime contingency protocol, and more.Â
Harmony realizes that she created the severance program when she was a young girl and the Eagans stole the credit for her work. This leaves Sissy, an ardent employee of the company absolutely dumbfounded. But this doesn’t waver her loyalty to them.Â
She tries snatching the notebook to burn it but fails. A car then shows up and Hampton warns Harmony that people are after her. Harmony requests her aunt to keep her visit a secret, but she refuses. Additionally, she also reveals that she didn’t remove Harmony’s mother from her life support, her mother did that herself.Â
With this, Harmony drives away. Later she picks up Devon Scout’s call and goes somewhere with the notebook. She gets to know that Mark has undergone the reintegration procedure. This makes her want to know what happened.Â
