Love Live! Superstar!! 2 Reveals Four New Characters
Attention "Love Live!" fans: your favorite series, scheduled for a summer 2022 release, has just revealed the names of four new characters set to join our idol group of five in "Love Live! Superstar!!" Season 2. The series originally followed five first-year students in the Yuigaoka all-girls high school who formed the Liella idol group. Read on to know more about the series.
Love Live! Superstar!! Season 2 New Characters and More
The main cast of "Love Live! Superstar!!" is expanding for its second season, as four new girls join the idol anime's five leads. The first season's cast includes Sayuri Date as Kanon Shibuya, Liyuu as Tang Keke, Nako Misaki as Chisato Arashi, Naomi Payton as Sumire Heanna, and Nagisa Aoyama as Ren Hazuki. The second season is slated for a summer release, set to premiere in July 2022 in Japan.Â
The new additions to the cast of "Love Live! Superstar!!" are:
- Shiki Wakana
- Kinako Sakurakoji
- Mei Yoneme
- Natsumi Onitsuka
A new visual depicting the new school idols running after the original characters (refer to the first visual) has also been released. The voice actors who will play the newly revealed characters are still unrevealed. The anime's member page has also been updated to include the new characters.
The first season’s main staff includes Takahiro Kyougoku (Land of the Lustrous) as director, Jukki Hanada (Granbelm) as the series composer, Yuuhei Murota (Love Live! Sunshine!!) as original character designer, and Atsushi Saitou (Blackfox) as character designer. Sunrise will be the animation production company for the series.
"Love Live! Superstar!!" is part of the "Love Live!" multimedia franchise that began in 2013. The project is the fourth installment in the "Love Live!" franchise after "Love Live! School Idol Project," "Love Live! Sunshine!!," and "Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club." The "Love Live! Nijigasaki" anime series began airing its own second season on April 2, 2022.
