The Lilo & Stitch live-action film is here, and families can’t wait to see the characters who stole their hearts in animated form a while back. However, with rumors that sequels are already being planned, many viewers are interested in knowing if there are any post-credits scenes attached to the film.
After all, it might be worth sitting at the theater longer if there are any scenes that hint at what those possible sequels might be about. In this article, we will reveal whether there is a Lilo & Stitch end credit scene.
No, there aren’t any post-credit scenes in the Lilo & Stitch live-action movie. The film ends very similarly to the original one, with Lilo, Nani, Stitch, and others finding happiness in their found family together. There are no scenes after the credits that elaborate on the world of the film more.
At the end of the live-action Lilo & Stitch film, Stitch, with the humans, is made to stand in front of the Grand Councilwoman, who lets Stitch stay on Earth. Nani then heads to college to study Marine Biology, and Lilo stays with Tūtū, her neighbor and new foster mother.
Later, Lilo and Nani catch up via a video call. Nani misses her sister and tells her that she has a surprise, but she has to close her eyes. She then gets Jumba’s portal gun and creates a gun to visit Lilo. Nani arrives and pinches Lilo’s big toe. Nani’s arrival overjoys Lilo, who jumps into her sister’s arms.
This commotion causes Tūtū to send Cobra Bubbles (Courtney B. Vance) to find out what’s happening. Lilo, Nani, and Stitch try to close the portal, but find that the gun isn’t working. Thankfully, Stitch closes it in time.
When Cobra Bubbles comes into the room, he thinks that he only sees Lilo and comments that she is growing big. However, the truth is that it is Nani cuddling Lilo and Stitch. The scene ends with Nani telling Lilo goodnight and Lilo repeating it back. Stitch says, “Goodnight sisters,” which shows that he has been accepted as part of the family.
One major difference between the live-action and animated versions of the Lilo & Stitch story is Gantu. In the live-action version, he isn’t there because it is Jumba, the creator of Stitch, who is the main antagonist. This is a major departure from the original story, where Jumba became a part of the extended family after coming to Earth.
In the live-action film, Jumba hates the emotional attachments that Stitch has made on Earth. He also doesn’t grow to love and appreciate Earth like in the animated version. This change allows the film to explore how emotions and connections are essential to family.
Lilo & Stitch (2025) live-action film is now playing in theaters.
