Instagram Users Can Now Post on Multiple Accounts at The Same Time

By Nitish Singh / January 10, 2019

Instagram is used heavily by businesses and social media influencers, but it can be a tad tedious to use for users who have multiple accounts that they need to share content on. A new update to the social media app is now allowing users to publish feed posts to multiple accounts via the composer screen which is a much-needed change. Prior to the update, users would need to switch across multiple accounts and post manually.

Users can edit their posts and change hashtags before sharing them within the Instagram app when sharing photos and videos from multiple accounts. The feature was first spotted by Zachary Shakked, who is the founder of SocialThings.

If you want to try out the feature, all you need to do is head to the Instagram app and start creating a new post. Once you select a photo or video that you want to share, head to the composer screen where you normally get to tag users you will notice a new toggle switch to move across multiple accounts. The feature is currently available for iOS only with no ETA on when it will appear on Android devices.

Importing photos from Google Photos on Android is also set to become simpler than ever before with a new shortcut. Jane Manchun Wong, who is known for her consistent and reliable leaks first spotted the new Photos shortcut. Currently, importing photos from Google Photos is hidden behind the ‘Other’ option when choosing your image source. The social media platform is testing an update that will offer a dedicated button for Google Photos and we can expect it to pop up on the live version of the app sometime soon.
