How to Watch ‘Paranormal Activity’ Movies in Order?

Those who love spooky movies have certainly tried at least one Paranormal Activity film. Well, there are plenty of them now, and you may want to watch them all in order, so let's see how we can do this.
The Paranormal Activity madness started in 2007, with a story following the life of a family that is stalked and terrified by a demon. What made the movie stand out at the time, and later on the others too, is the fact that the action appears to be filmed by surveillance cams in the home or other cameras that are set up by the family. This all gives the film an added element of spookiness.
Given the way the movies were filmed, they were all a complete commercial success, ranking in over 30 times the overall budget.
However, the films have timelines that don't fall in chronological order, as it usually happens with movies that grow in popularity, and directors seek to bring in new ideas. So instead of moving forward in time, we go back and offer a glimpse into the past instead.
Nonetheless, it just means there are more ways to enjoy the story and there's nothing wrong with that.

Chronological Order
As we mentioned, along the way, they decided to jump through the timeline a bit and give us a look into various other hauntings. Not only that, but watching the movies in this chronological order will also allow you to pick up various comments that will also impact future movies and so on.
- Paranormal Activity 3 - The film's events take place between October and November 1988.
- Paranormal Activity 2 - The action takes place in August 2006.
- Paranormal Activity - Action for this movie happens in September 2006.
- Paranormal Activity 4 - This movie follows events between October and November 2011.
- Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones - We get a look at events from June 2012.
- Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension - The latest movie from the series is also the one that takes place most recently, in 2013. However, it does include links to the 1988 events.
