How to Watch Our Flag Means Death Online From Anywhere

By Lore Apostol / March 2, 2022

A new period comedy TV series will soon premiere, and we will be able to stream this title online. Our Flag Means Death is a fun pirate swashbuckler series that's based on the true adventures of the 18th-century wanna-be pirate Stede Bonnet. If you're interested in an entertaining way to disconnect a bit from reality, this is the title for you. This being said, let's see when, where, and how to watch Our Flag Means Death online from anywhere.

The first episode takes us to 1717, at the moment when wealthy landowner and pampered aristocrat Stede Bonnet has a midlife crisis and decides to blow up his cushy life to become a pirate. It does not go well. However, Stede quickly learns that a pirate's life isn't for everybody.

Stede Bonnet decides to trade in the seemingly comfortable life of a gentleman for one of a swashbuckling buccaneer and becomes captain of a pirate ship called Revenge, but he struggles to earn the respect of his potentially mutinous crew. However, his fortunes change after a fateful run-in with the infamous Captain Blackbeard. In the trailer, we see a well-dressed and unprepared Bonnet takes the decision to become more like the gentleman pirate, who "kills with kindness" instead of weapons. On one attacked ship, he even loots the library and believes he's evil because he replaces the stolen books with one he'd already read.

Taika Waititi fans are thrilled to see him as Blackbeard in this series. The cast also features some other beloved actors - Rhys Darby as Stede Bonnet, Kristian Nairn as Wee John Feeney, Rory Kinnear as Captain Nigel Badminton, Chauncey Badminton, Ewen Bremner as Buttons, and Joel Fry as Frenchie. Other recurring names are Leslie Jones, Nat Faxon, Fred Armisen, Samba Schutte, Kristen Schaal, and Nick Kroll.

The first season of Our Flag Means Death will premiere on Thursday, March 3, 2022. The series will land on HBO Max and will have 10 episodes. As we are already used to when it comes to this streaming platform, the episodes are scheduled to be released in groups of two or three every week - the first three will become available on the premiere day, another three will land on the service the next week, and then we'll get two per week for the next couple of weeks.

How to Watch Our Flag Means Death Online From Anywhere

We all know it's pretty easy to watch content online nowadays since there are so many live TV and streaming services on the market, but this is only true when you are in your home country. Almost all the services are geo-blocked abroad, and in some territories, so you might find yourself unable to access them if you are traveling. You will be able to circumvent the blockade and watch Our Flag Means Death with a VPN. A VPN can change your IP Address and make it appear like you are back home, thus lifting geo-related restrictions.

We recommend you use ExpressVPN since it's one of the best tools on the market right now if you're looking for a tool that can easily unblock several streaming platforms, such as HBO Max, Netflix, Hulu, and others, because it has thousands of servers all around the world. It also boasts fast and stable connections and strong encryption, and it's extremely easy to use, even for beginners. What's more, there's a no-questions-asked money-back guarantee included, so you can try ExpressVPN for 30 days RISK-FREE.

Besides testing it risk-free, you can also take advantage of a great offer if you subscribe to ExpressVPN (49% discount + 3 Months FREE) in case you decide to keep it after the 30 days pass. Finally, just open the VPN to select a server in a location from back home, then turn on the tool. All the restrictions are now lifted, so you can access the streaming platform to play the title when it becomes available on the service.

How to Watch Our Flag Means Death in the US

Our Flag Means Death is an HBO Max original, so you can stream it through this platform and other services that have it as long as you are in your home country.

The most obvious way is to get an HBO Max subscription to watch Our Flag Means Death online. There are two tiers right now: the ad-supported tier is $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year, and the ad-free tier costs $14.99 per month or $149.99 per year. You can either subscribe to HBO Max via the HBO Max website or subscription providers such as Apple, Google Play, and Roku. HBO Max offers native apps for iOS, and Android devices, smart TVs, consoles such as PlayStation and Xbox, Roku, or Chromecast, and you can even stream content in 4K.

Another great option for you is to go for Hulu. The streaming platform has two On-Demand plans that start at $6.99 per month, and you can select HBO Max as an add-on. There's a generous 30-day free trial for these plans, and you will also be able to test the ad-free HBO Max plan for free for 7 days. This add-on's price is $14.99 per month after the free trial ends unless canceled.

Another option you can take advantage of is the YouTube TV live TV and streaming service, where you can also add HBO Max as a Premium Add-On Network. Depending on what special promotion is running at the moment, the subscription price goes up to $64.99 per month and offers a free trial that ranges from two to seven days. You will get a 7-day free trial for HBO Max, and the service will charge you $14.99 per month unless you cancel before the trial ends.

You can also get HBO Max as a premium add-on through the DirecTV Stream live TV and streaming platform and get a 3-month free trial for the add-on. The prices here start at $79.99 per month, and you will also get to enjoy a 5-day free trial on DirecTV Stream. After the HBO Max trial ends, they will charge you $14.99 per month for HBO Max unless you cancel before that happens.

As you may know, most of these streaming platforms are not available everywhere in the world, and this means some geo-restrictions are in place. If you're traveling away from the US, you may lose your access to some countries or states. However, you can lift any geo-restriction by using a reliable VPN that can unblock the streaming platform abroad. You need to select a server located in the US and turn on the VPN before playing the title.

How to Watch Our Flag Means Death in Canada

You cannot subscribe directly to the HBO Max streaming platform in Canada, but you have another great option. You will be able to watch Our Flag Means Death online on the Crave streaming service, as it offers HBO, HBO Max, and also Showtime and Starz for $19.99 a month. You also get a 7-day free trial upon subscribing.

If you're traveling away from Canada, you should keep in mind that Crave is geo-restricted. This means you will need to use a VPN to lift the blockades and watch the series. You just need to change your real location to a Canadian one and turn on the VPN before accessing the streaming service.

How to Watch Our Flag Means Death in Australia

Prices start from $10 per month on Binge, and all packages include a 14-day free trial for new customers.

Since almost all streaming platforms are geo-blocked abroad, you will need to access the title through Binge after using a VPN if you will be traveling when this title lands. All you need to do is to set your VPN server to Australia and access the streaming service to unblock it.

How to Watch Our Flag Means Death in the UK

As you may already know, HBO Max launched in May 2020 but is not currently available in the UK. This happens because its parent company, HBO, has an exclusive first-look content deal with Sky in the UK, and that is why some HBO Max titles land on Sky channels and NOW. Subscription prices for Sky TV start at £26 per month and for NOW starting at £9.99 per month, with a 7-day free trial available for all new customers.

Keep in mind that almost all streaming platforms are geo-restricted, so you won't be able to access your library if you decide to travel away from the UK. However, you can bypass this issue and lift the blockade if you turn to a capable VPN. You just need to use a server located back home and turn on the VPN before accessing the streaming platform you are subscribed to.
