Farming Life in Another World Gets Anime Adaptation
2022 is certainly turning out to be a great year for anime! Since January, we've seen nothing but excitement in the anime genre, whether it's AOT's final season or Demon Slayer's Entertainment District mania. Since the popular Japanese genre has been rising in popularity, several light novels and manga series have been getting anime adaptations. Kinosuke Naito's popular isekai Farming Life in Another World is the latest to join the list.
Farming Life in Another World Anime Series, and More
According to a recent announcement, Kinosuke Naito's popular light novel and manga series, Farming Life in Another World, is getting an anime adaptation. The agricultural isekai story focuses on Hiraku, who incarnated into his freewheeling fantasy world. Hiraku soon realizes that being a farmer in another world is as easy as imagined. While the anime adaptation for the series has been announced, no other information about the cast or staff has been revealed.
Kinosuke Naito first released his Farming Life in Another World light novel on the Japanese user-generated novel publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro (Let's Become a Novelist). The light novel was eventually picked up for physical release by Kadokawa. As of 2022, Farming Life in Another World consists of 11 volumes with over 2 million copies in circulation.
The series also received a manga adaptation by ComicWalker and Dragon Age starting in March 2018. Yasuyuki Tsurugi drew the art based on Yasumo's original novel designs. One Peace Books, which has acquired the English publishing rights to the manga series, describes the story as:
"After Hiraku dies of a serious illness, God brings him back to life, gives his health and youth back, and sends him to a fantasy world of his choice. In order to enjoy his second shot, God bestows upon him the almighty farming tool! Watch as Hiraku digs, chops, and plows in another world in this laidback farming fantasy!"
