What is The Madness Series About?
In The Madness, Muncie Daniels, a political consultant turned media pundit, retreats to the Poconos to write but becomes the sole witness to a high-profile murder. Framed for the crime, Muncie must evade capture, uncover a deadly conspiracy, and fight disinformation while reconnecting with his estranged family.
The series explores themes of trust, betrayal, and redemption as Muncie grapples with his past and the ideals he once championed. Featuring a dynamic cast, the story intertwines suspenseful chases and emotional depth, promising a gripping exploration of truth and survival.
In an interview with TUDUM, Domingo revealed why he chose to take the role, saying, “Everything about this conspiracy thriller excited me. It was a unique protagonist, one that I had never seen or experienced.”

Is There a Trailer for The Madness?
The trailer for The Madness teases an intense story filled with conspiracies and danger. It opens with Muncie declaring, “I think I’m getting framed for murder,” as he stumbles upon a dead body and is pursued by masked gunmen. His past fame as a journalist complicates matters, making him recognizable to strangers, including ominous figures outside his home.
In a tense moment, he tells an ally, “They’re going after my family. I need you to extract me.” The trailer promises suspense, unreliable perspectives, and gripping twists.

When & Where did The Madness film?
In January 2023, The Madness entered pre-production in Toronto, Canada, with filming initially set to begin on March 13 but ultimately started on March 27, 2023. Production was scheduled to wrap by August 10, but the SAG-AFTRA strike on July 14, 2023, postponed filming. After the strikes concluded, production resumed on Feb. 12, 2024, and officially wrapped by March 29, 2024.
Behind the Scenes
Stephen Belber, known for O.G. and The Laramie Project, is the creator and co-showrunner of The Madness, alongside VJ Boyd (Justified, S.W.A.T.). The eight-episode limited series is part of Chernin Entertainment’s first-look deal with Netflix. Clement Virgo (Greenleaf, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story) serves as the director and executive producer. Other executive producers include Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, and Kaitlin Dahill.
