Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Film To Release in North America!

Anime fans are in luck! According to a recent panel at the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2022 event, the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero film will soon release in North America. The Super Hero film panel included several guests talking about the upcoming film, including director Tetsuro Kodama, Toei Animation producer Norihiro Hayashida, and executive producer Akio Iyoku of Shueisha. The creators revealed several more details about the upcoming film, including exclusive information.

Dragon Ball series creator, Akira Toriyama, has been involved in making the upcoming Super Hero film. According to Crunchyroll, the mangaka was already writing the script for the upcoming film while the last film, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, was still in production. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is set for release in Japan on April 22, 2022.

In the panel held during the weekend, the film's makers started by showing fans some previously revealed visuals. They also revealed that mangaka Akira Toriyama has confirmed that fans will see a lot of unexpected characters in the upcoming film. The panelists also expanded the visual, revealing its second half, which featured Trunks and Goten in mid-Fusion.

Fans also got to see some new footage featuring Dr. Hedo and an explosive incident. In addition, a second clip was shown by the panelists, featuring Piccolo and the new android enemy Gamma 2, impressing with some gunslinging action. A third clip featuring a brief Gohan showdown with Gamma 1 in the pouring rain was also previewed at the event. Crunchyroll also confirms that an "expanded and advanced Red Ribbon Army" will also feature in the upcoming film, aligning with the classic Dragon Ball series.

Finally, the panelists also announced a ticket presale for Japan ahead of its April 2022 release and confirmed that Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is coming to North America this summer. An exact date for the release has yet to be confirmed by the makers. Fans can check out the Dragon Ball Super anime series on Funimation, Crunchyroll, and Hulu!
