Doctors and Nurses Fighting Pandemic Get 3 Months Free on FirstNet From AT&T

By Gabriela Vatu / April 15, 2020

AT&T is trying to do something nice for physicians and nurses fighting the Coronavirus pandemic in the US, by offering them three months of free wireless service on FirstNet.

According to the official announcement, nurses and physicians in the US who are already on FirstNet mobile responder plans will automatically get three months for free. The deal will apply to a single line of service, either a smartphone or tablet.

New subscribers are also eligible for the three months bonus, so if there are nurses and doctors looking to get a new plan, now's the time! There is also a $200 activation credit available for getting the FirstNet smartphone with new plans.

The FirstNet network was built by AT&T in partnership with the US government in a public-private deal. The service prioritizes calls and traffic from first responders, blocking or limiting some consumer traffic, with the exception of 911 calls. Since FirstNet is built on physically separate hardware, this network gives first responders their own nationwide broadband network.
