Release Date & Where to Watch
The seven-episode series will premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, Oct. 11, 2024. The first two episodes will be available immediately, followed by new episodes every Friday until Nov. 15, 2024. Prior to its streaming release, several episodes will debut at the Venice Film Festival in September for their world premieres. The drama and thriller series is rated TV-MA.
Plot
Acclaimed journalist Catherine Ravenscroft has made a career out of exposing others' misdeeds. However, her world unravels when she receives a novel from an unknown author, realizing she is the main character in a story revealing her darkest secrets.
Desperate to uncover the writer's identity, Catherine must confront her past before it destroys her life and her relationships with her husband, Robert, and their son, Nicholas.

Where is Disclaimer Filmed?
Filming for the series commenced in June 2022, taking place in London, Mexico, Italy, and Sydney, and wrapped up in February 2023. Additional pickup scenes were shot in South Africa during March and April 2023.
Behind the Scenes
Disclaimer is written and directed by five-time Academy Award winner Alfonso Cuarón (Gravity, Roma, and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban). Produced by Esperanto Filmoj and Anonymous Content, the series features Cuarón and Gabriela Rodriguez (Esperanto Filmoj), David Levine, and the late Steve Golin (Anonymous Content) as executive producers. Blanchett, who also stars, serves as an executive producer, with Emmanuel Lubezki, Donald Sabourin, and Carlos Morales contributing as executive producers. Renée Knight is a co-executive producer.
The directors of photography are Lubezki and Academy Award nominee Bruno Delbonnel, while the score is composed by Academy and Grammy Award winner Finneas O’Connell (Barbie, No Time to Die).
