Can I Use My Funimation Login Credentials On Crunchyroll?

By Samona Punjabi / March 2, 2022

Anime fans have won big! Funimation's entire anime library is moving to Crunchyroll, meaning fans will now only need a subscription to one of these sites to access their favorite content. News of the recent merger is a happy occasion for fans who have been subscribing to both platforms over the years. Funimation's official website advises fans to cancel their subscription and opt for a Crunchyroll subscription instead.

Crunchyroll Premium gives subscribers ad-free access to the complete library and several other benefits in three other tiers: Fan, Mega Fan, and Ultimate Fan. However, the merger has also left several fans confused over the fates of their accounts, which already have a Funimation subscription. Read on to find out how it works.

Can I Access Crunchyroll With My Funimation Login? What Funimation Content Is Available on Crunchyroll?

Crunchyroll and Funimation's official websites have set up an FAQ section for fans who are confused with the news of the latest merger. As per Crunchyroll's website, fans cannot access Crunchyroll with their Funimation login credentials (for now). The website advises fans who are Funimation, Wakanim, or VRV subscribers, that the best way to get access to all the latest shows is to start a new subscription with Crunchyroll.

Furthermore, it has also been confirmed that fans will not be able to access their Funimation digital copy, watch history, or queue in Crunchyroll yet. However, the platform claims to be working on this so that fans can expect an update soon!

As for content, several of Funimation's series and movies have already made their way to Crunchyroll. Fans can check out Crunchyroll's list of series, which includes several dubs, showing all Funimation content now available on the platform for all subscribers. Some notable dubs coming to Crunchyroll include Dr. Stone, Fire Force, My Hero Academia, and Tokyo Ghoul.

Crunchyroll also notified fans that the list in question would be "regularly updated" as more shows appear on the service. Other iconic series previously exclusive to Funimation, like Cowboy Bebop, and Yu Yu Hakusho, are now available on Crunchyroll.
