Attack on Titan Receives New Trailer For Finale Episode; Is This The End?

By Samona Punjabi / March 31, 2022

Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 has just received a new trailer for its final episode! The show was on a week-long hiatus due to broadcasting issues, delaying the final episode. The last episode of the season is now set to premiere next week. However, we're still unsure if this is the end of the series.

As we wait for episode 87 of Attack on Titan to release, Crunchyroll has released a new trailer. While the trailer does not give away much about the next episode, it does confirm the speculations that it might not be the end of the series. For one, the upcoming episode 87 is titled "The Dawn of Humanity," which is the same name as Chapter 130 of the manga. Since the manga has nine more chapters to go after this, it's unlikely this is the end.

Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 Final Episode Trailer and More

Attack on Titan episode 87 is airing this Sunday, and Crunchyroll has unveiled a special trailer for the final episode of Season 4, Part 2. The trailer features some of the most significant scenes from the season and acts as a build-up for the finale. AOT's newest trailer was uploaded on the Crunchyroll Collections channel, but it is geo-blocked. Check it out:

You can watch it on the German Crunchyroll YouTube account if you are in Europe. Check it out:

The final episode of Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 will be streaming on Crunchyroll and Funimation on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at 3:45 PM CT / 1:45 PM PT (10:45 PM CEST). The English dub of the episode is expected to release on May 1. Episode 87 was originally scheduled for a March 27 release. However, the episode was delayed due to scheduling issues on NHK public broadcaster in Japan, where the anime is airing.

Since nine more chapters will likely remain after the finale episode covers chapter 130, it doesn't seem like the end of the series. MAPPA could very well announce an Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3. In fact, with the huge success that the Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen movies have seen, MAPPA may adopt the remaining story into a theatrical feature.
