Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2 English Dub Release Date Announced

By Samona Punjabi / February 5, 2022

Good news for AOT fans, Funimation has announced the release for the English Dub version of Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2! The series final season part 2 premiered last month on January 9, in Japanese with English subtitles, with the first episode titled "Judgment." The second part features a returning staff, including director Yuichiro Hayashi at MAPPA, scriptwriter Hiroshi Seko, character designer Tomohiro Kishi, and music composers Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto.

Attack on Titan began in 2009 with a manga series created by Hajime Isayama. Isayama initially pitched the series to Japan's most popular manga publication, Weekly Shonen Jump, but was rejected. The series was eventually picked up by publisher Kodansha, helping Isayama's tragic thriller become the legend that it has. The manga is now one of the most successful series in history, with over 100 million copies in circulation around the globe.

The English subtitled version of Attack on Titan: The Final Season - Part 2 is available on Hulu, Crunchyroll, and Funimation. Isayama's complete manga is now available in English from Kodansha USA. The dub was announced on the same day that Toonami confirmed that it would air The Final Season - Part 2 as part of its late-night weekend anime block.
