Apple Confirmed iPhone 12 Launch Event for October 13

By Bill Toulas / October 7, 2020

The Events webpage on the Apple site has an announcement for a new event scheduled for October 13, 2020, at 10 AM PDT. We already knew that this was a high-chance date since last month, but it has now been officially confirmed.

What we expect to see in this event is the launch of the iPhone 12 lineup consisting of four models, a new Apple TV device, and the AirPods Studio headphones. What we could also see is a new HomePod device and also the AirTags Bluetooth tracker.

If you want to watch the event live, you should tune in at the following times:

As for the platform where the event will be streamed, the Events page will cover it, while a live stream on the company’s official YouTube channel has already been set up as well, so you can go ahead and set a reminder right now.

The COVID-19 pandemic has pushed Apple’s typical “September” iPhone presentation dates to October this year, as the company’s hardware production and device assembly contractors needed more time in order to fulfill the volumes of production that a new iPhone generation calls for.

Apple is treating this aspect with characteristic reverence, as the key element of success in its product launches is the almost immediate availability of the devices. That said, we expect the first iPhone 12 to be delivered to their buyers’ hands by the beginning of November. Any other products launched during this event shouldn’t be far from that date either.

There have been many leaks and rumors about the upcoming iPhone 12 lineup, and we already have an idea of what Apple’s new smartphone will look like. However, there are always surprises and secrets that remain well-kept until the product launch event, so we will finally get to learn all the actual details, confirm some rumors, and debunk others.

TechNadu will be covering the event live with posts written on the fly, and later updated with more information as this becomes available. We invite you to enjoy the launch with us and dive into the details and the specifics of the new Apple products next Tuesday.
