Key Takeaways
  • Felony charges filed: The Jamie Borne child exploitation case involves 40 felony counts for illicit digital material and one count for physical contraband.
  • Digital evidence seized: Law enforcement confiscated laptops and hard drives containing severe material involving minors under 13 during a routine probation compliance check.
  • False employment claims: Borne falsely told investigators he worked for Roblox, a claim the company has since denied.

Self-proclaimed Roblox programmer Jamie Borne is prosecuted by The Attorney General’s Office Criminal Division on 40 counts of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13 and one count of possessing, trafficking or importing a child sex doll. Parole officers found an illegal doll inside the suspect's residence during a routine probation compliance check in late February 2026.

He was booked on March 17, 2026, on child sexual abuse material (CSAM) charges and on February 27, 2026, on a child sex doll charge, officials said, according to reports.

New Orleans Programmer Charges

The Jamie Borne child exploitation case escalated into a massive multi-agency investigation. Authorities discovered severe physical and digital contraband at a New Orleans residence, leading to immediate intervention by Homeland Security Investigations and Louisiana State Police.

Following the initial discovery, digital forensics investigators executed a search warrant and seized multiple electronic devices, including hard drives, laptops, and phones.

Subsequent analysis of this hardware verified extensive child pornography allegations, specifically involving minors under the age of 13, media reports said, citing the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office.

Prosecution by the Louisiana Attorney General

The judicial system remanded the defendant to the Orleans Parish Jail, establishing a $50,000 bond for the physical contraband violation and a $2 million bond for the digital exploitation counts, reports said. Furthermore, authorities placed a secondary probation hold on the suspect due to a prior guilty plea involving the illegal discharge of a firearm.

During the initial interrogation, the 30-year-old suspect falsely identified himself as an active software programmer for the online gaming platform Roblox. Corporate representatives quickly refuted this employment claim and permanently banned his associated user accounts.

A recent Los Angeles County lawsuit accused Roblox of using inadequate moderation and its age-verification systems, with the State of Nebraska filing a complaint against the company earlier this month for misleading parents and children about its dangers and its mitigation steps. Early this year, Roblox debuted age verification globally for chat features.
