What is the plot of The Pickup (2025) film?

The Pickup follows what starts as a standard cash run and spirals into an all-out heist gone wrong. When armored truck drivers Russell and Travis — complete opposites in every way — are ambushed by a gang of dangerous criminals led by the sharp and cunning Zoe, it becomes clear the attackers want more than just money.

Filming Details

Principal photography kicked off in Atlanta in April 2024. However, on Saturday, April 20, an accident occurred during the second unit filming of an action sequence. An armored truck and a car collided and rolled over, injuring several crew members in the process (via Deadline & NY Times).

The Pickup is directed by Tim Story and written by Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider. Story also serves as a producer through his banner, The Story Company.
