The MonsterVerse is heating up once again with the release of the new Godzilla x Kong: Supernova teaser, and it might’ve dropped the biggest clue yet about the next big threat. While the teaser doesn’t show much on the surface, it’s packed with details that fans believe are teasing the return of one of the most powerful kaiju of all time. Here’s everything we’ve learned so far about the creature that might be the Godzilla x Kong Supernova villain.

5. The Teaser’s Emergency Signal Leads us to Sedona

Though we don’t see a new kaiju in the teaser, one brief shot of a Monarch computer screen confirms that an emergency alert is coming from Sedona, Arizona. This location isn’t new to the MonsterVerse—in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, the spider-like Titan Scylla emerged from Sedona when King Ghidorah called the Titans into battle.

While Scylla was later killed in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, the area remained significant. Monarch’s Outpost 55 was stationed there to monitor Scylla’s movements. The new teaser hints that something far more dangerous than Scylla may be rising from that region—possibly connected to a new threat from beyond Earth.

4. Cosmic Clues Point to a new type of Titan

The film’s title, Supernova, is no accident. Many fans believe it suggests an intergalactic or cosmic-level threat. That theory is bolstered by events in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season one. In episode four, a scientist mentions radiation energy typically found only in pulsars and black holes—originating from within Earth. These energy signatures may explain how som, ething as powerful as SpaceGodzilla could exist within the MonsterVerse.

With portals in the Hollow Earth described as behaving like “vile vortices” powered by black hole energy, it’s possible that one of these interdimensional gateways gave birth to a mutated titan—one far more destructive than anything the Earth has seen before.

3. Fan Theory: SpaceGodzilla is the Villain

Longtime fans are convinced that SpaceGodzilla, the iconic villain from 1994’s Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla, is making his debut in Supernova. This fan-favorite extraterrestrial kaiju was born from Godzilla’s DNA, mutated by space radiation after passing through a black hole. That origin may sound wild—but it now fits perfectly with the MonsterVerse’s evolving mythology.

Given that black holes may exist inside the Hollow Earth, SpaceGodzilla could have been created—or corrupted—by these forces and remained hidden in the unexplored 95% of the Hollow Earth.

2. SpaceGodzilla Would be Godzilla’s Deadliest Opponent yet

If true, SpaceGodzilla would be the most powerful villain yet. He not only matches Godzilla in strength, but also possesses unique crystalline powers, psychic abilities, and energy manipulation that allow him to outmatch even the King of the Monsters. His ability to create and harness energy spikes makes him a nearly unstoppable force.

1. SpaceGodzilla was Teased Before

Interestingly, Godzilla vs. Kong concept art already hinted at a creature resembling SpaceGodzilla. An unused mural in the art book showed an ancient war between the ancestors of Kong and Godzilla, fighting a blue, winged creature emerging from a starry spiral—perhaps a black hole.

This mysterious titan could have been the hidden villain that forced Godzilla and Kong’s species to unite long ago. Now, that ancient foe may finally be returning—reborn through black hole energy, and more dangerous than ever.

Between the Sedona signal, Hollow Earth’s strange energy readings, and Godzilla’s own fiery evolution, Godzilla x Kong: Supernova is shaping up to be the biggest MonsterVerse entry yet. Whether it’s truly SpaceGodzilla or a new cosmic variant inspired by him, one thing is clear: the next battle won't be just for Earth—it might be for the entire universe.

Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, which is now in production, is going to be released in theaters on Friday, March 26, 2027. Check out the production announcement below:
