Release date & Where to Watch

NCIS: Tony and Ziva is set to premiere in fall 2025, though Paramount+ has yet to announce an exact release date. The series will consist of 10 episodes.

What is the plot of NCIS: Tony and Ziva?

NCIS: Tony & Ziva picks up years after Ziva’s apparent death, when Tony DiNozzo left the NCIS team to raise their daughter, Tali. Eventually, Ziva was revealed to be alive and completed one final mission with NCIS before reuniting with Tony and their daughter in Paris. Since then, the couple has been raising 12-year-old Tali while running a security firm in the City of Light.

But their quiet life is shattered when Tony’s security company is unexpectedly attacked. Forced onto the run across Europe, the family must unravel the mystery of who’s targeting them. Along the way, Tony and Ziva will have to navigate dangerous ground—physically and emotionally—as they learn to trust each other again in the hopes of achieving their long-delayed, unconventional happily ever after.

Set more than a decade after the characters originally left the NCIS mothership, this new Paramount+ spinoff steps away from the typical procedural format. Instead, it delivers a serialized, 10-episode story arc described by executive producer and showrunner John McNamara as “a dangerous, fun, romantic, exciting chase across Europe.” (via Deadline)

He added, “I’m excited to tell a single, serialized story of intrigue and espionage... delving more deeply into Tony and Ziva’s complex relationship, their on-again/off-again romance, and the way they co-parent Tali, heightened by the sudden jeopardy they all find themselves in.”

Michael Weatherly, who also executive produces, shared that reuniting with co-star Cote de Pablo felt natural, “It was surprising how Cote and I just fell into this new place with our characters. Informed by the past, illuminated by the present, and trying to see a future together. These characters are on the adventure of a lifetime. And hopefully, so is the viewer.”

With a blend of romance, espionage, parental struggles, and high-stakes adventure, NCIS: Tony & Ziva is poised to give fans a new side of the franchise—and a deeper look into the beloved TIVA dynamic that started it all.

Who’s in the cast of NCIS: Tony and Ziva?

Is There a Trailer for NCIS: Tony and Ziva?

The official trailer for NCIS: Tony & Ziva, giving fans a thrilling, emotional, and action-packed first look at the long-awaited spinoff. Set in Europe, the trailer wastes no time diving into the DiNozzo-David family dynamic — and the danger that forces them back into the field.

Ziva kicks things off with an update: business is “booming” and motherhood “couldn’t be better,” but her relationship with Tony? That’s harder to define. “On again, maybe again, kind of again,” she says, summing up their famously complicated romance.

The trailer quickly shifts into high gear as Ziva and Tony prepare Tali for what’s coming. “Here’s the deal,” Ziva tells her. “Dad and I used to do work that was dangerous. So if anyone tries to hurt us, we’ve planned for it.” That plan is quickly tested when Sophie, Tali’s SAS-trained nanny, urgently warns, “We need to run.”

Soon after, Tony watches in horror as surveillance footage shows his daughter running for her life through city streets. “Someone I trust did this,” he admits to Ziva, confused and shaken. “I don't know how they targeted Tali.” A chilling threat follows: “I have no desire to harm a child,” a villain sneers, “but if I must — no objection.

Ziva doesn’t hesitate to act, revealing a closet full of weapons. “I leveled up a bit,” she says coolly. Tony responds with his signature wit: “Have I ever told you how deeply I appreciate your paranoia?” He also quips, “I haven’t been here in a while — do you still keep all that stuff in your cookie jars?

The trailer flashes through fight scenes, car chases, and covert missions, with Tony and Ziva taking down enemies and trying to protect their daughter. Yet even as the bullets fly, the spark between them still simmers.

At one point, Tony and Ziva share a candlelit dinner while on the run. “Tali couldn’t ask for a better mother,” he says. “And I couldn’t ask for a better… safe house roomie.”

As the threat closes in, Tony lays out their odds with his signature humor: “So what we’re depending on to save all of these lives is me being charmingly persuasive and you kicking ass?” Ziva raises an eyebrow. “Not ideal,” Tony admits, “but here we are.”

The trailer ends with a moment of high-stakes diplomacy — and DiNozzo charm. Pointing a gun at his enemies, Tony asks dryly, “A lot of shooting, a lot of pointless death — does that sound good to anybody?

A dance floor moment and near-kiss tease their unresolved tension, but the relationship remains in flux. “Have you ever been in therapy?” Ziva asks him. “Once,” Tony replies. “I walked in happy and walked out depressed — and I kept on walking.” Ziva just smirks: “That is so incredibly you.”

It’s clear from the trailer: NCIS: Tony & Ziva is going to be a thrilling ride full of danger, heart, and unresolved feelings — with just enough banter to remind us why this duo remains one of the franchise’s most beloved.
