By TechNadu Staff / February 4, 2017

Youtube silently updated its iOS app today. Good things it had done is by making navigation easier for its users. It can be quite annoying to unlock your phone or else shift through apps to play, resume or pause the videos that you might be casting.

The fresh version of the app on iPads and iPhones comes with a lock screen controls enabled to support Chromecast, game consoles, Smart TVs, and other devices.

YouTube added these features to its wearables Apple Watch will be able to access Pause, Play, Prev and Next controls.

This means that you’ll no longer have to unlock your device and go to the YouTube app to control playback on those devices.

YouTube for iOS has supported playback controls while playing content on-device with YouTube Red for a while now, but today’s update brings casting up to par in terms of features.

This might sound to be a minor update but it's worth especially to it Apple fans reducing the time who cast videos from youtube app onto Apple TV. The latest YouTube update is available in the App store.
